Museum of Discovery and Science brings STEMobile to Florida youth

The Museum of Discovery and Science in Fort Lauderdale is bringing STEM education to young people and students all over South Florida. The museum’s new STEMobile van designed to teach kids a range of skills.

This Museum of wheels delivers science, math, engineering and technology skills directly to your school, organization or community center with unique and immersive STEM (Science. Technology. Engineering. Math.) programming led by MODS STEM educators. Programs can be scaled for time and group size.

The mobile van includes educational games from coding puzzles and physics, weather charting, robotics, backyard engineering, and STEAM projects using fabrics and sewing to build 2D and 3D designs.

Joe Cox, the museum’s president and CEO, said that one of the reasons the mobile van was built was a desire to make STEM a bigger part of the museum’s conversation about its role in encouraging workforce development.
