For the fourth consecutive year, the Annette Urso Rickel Foundation will support the Olga Iglesias Project, a music nonprofit dedicated to advancing the Puerto Rican legacy in classical music. This year, the grant amount has been increased from $15,000 to $40,000, a testament to the foundation’s commitment to fostering music education and Puerto Rican culture in classical music.
This donation will help the Olga Iglesias Project (OIP) continue their impactful community projects through educational recitals and special performances.
The Annette Urso Rickel Foundation is dedicated to enriching STEAM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics), exploring innovative educational methods, fund special studies, and monitor their impact in classrooms, aiming to create meaningful STEAM programs for schools and organizations in need.
“Thanks to their support, we have been able to perform in Chicago, sing with the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra, and conduct educational recitals in schools, among other future projects. We are deeply grateful for this collaboration and look forward to continuing to work together for the cultural well-being of future Puerto Rican generations as well as creating new audiences,” said Anthony Cheney Guzmán, Executive Director and Founder of OIP.
